Virgin Trains name train to commemorate 50 years of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers. Virgin Trains has played its part in the reopening of an Edwardian theatre by naming a train “Darlington Hippodrome”. The Darlington Hippodrome theatre is a few minutes’ walk from the town’s main railway station and has links to the railway going back 110 years. It will reopen tomorrow after an eighteen month £12.3m restoration project.
